Chives

Chives are tough herbs that will easily grow indoors. Chives thrive in moist soil and like their stems to be moist too. Spray these herbs with a water bottle once per week.

 

Oregano

Oregano likes soil that is dry and lots of light. Make sure the soil is completely dry between watering. Do not harvest more than 50% of the plant at once because it could damage the root structure.

 

Parsley

Parsley prefers cooler temperatures and moist areas. Once a week the plant should be watered and rotated. Trimming the plant often can keep it from getting too tough.

 

Lemongrass

An easy herb to grow indoors is Lemongrass. Start the by putting healthy stalks of the plant into a water filled jar. Once the roots start to grow then transfer it to soil. Harvest the Lemongrass once its about 12 inches. You can also freeze extra lemongrass.

 

Basil

Basil enjoys a lot of light and warmer temperatures. Harvest when around 6 inches. To make dry basil then you hang the plant upside down in a dark, cool, and dry place. The basil should then be dry around 4-5 days.

 

Aloe Vera

Aloe is a great natural medicine to grow indoors. This plant is great for burns or inflammation. Aloe is a great air freshener too.
